Wednesday 1st March 2017 with Martin Hathaway A saxophone artist who communicates with the audience and puts on a great show. Martin has featured at Ronnie Scotts, the Dankworth Generation band and has even appeared with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.  Recording for TV and Film you will also hear Martin playing sax on 'Radiohead' best selling album!  Martin is joined by Roan Kearsey-Lawson on vibes & drums and his famous house musicians including Dorian Ford on Piano (who is also a famous actor having appeared in films with Judi Dench and worked with artists such as Will Young), Joe Pettitt on bass (Joe runs the Len Philips Big Band and is one of the UK's top bass players), plus full bandDoors Open at 7.15pm for reception and food, main performance on stage at 8.15pm. Purchase tickets Online or Via Phone, or take a chance on the door (cash only on door).  


Wednesday 5th April 2017 with Kai Hoffman   International Singer originally from Boston, USA.  Kai has sung in Shows at the Metropolitan Room New York City, Blue Note Italy, Ronnie Scotts and Albert Hall London and many more.  She has toured and recorded with Ray Gelato, Birdland's Louis Armstrong Band in New York City and in the UK with Jive Aces.  Sponsored by vintage reproduction fashion brand 'Vivien of Holloway' the expat-American always looks like she's from a classical Hollywood glamour shot.  Wednesday 3rd May 2017 with Julian Marc Stringle   Quite possibly the best Clarinettist of the modern age.  Julian began life as a teenager on TV with Acker Bilk and went on to take the jazz world by storm including in the Kenny Ball band. He has even performed with Meatloaf at Wembley Arena plus with the Spice Girls and not forgetting Chas 'n' Dave!  Performing both modern and old jazz Julian puts on a great show.  He is joined by Roan Kearsey-Lawson on vibes & drums and his famous house musicians including Dominic Ashworth voted Britain's best jazz guitarist, on Piano Dorian Ford (aka famous actor in Judi Dench film), and on bass Eric Guy from CanadaDoors Open at 7.15pm for reception and food, main performance on stage at 8.15pm. Purchase tickets Online or Via Phone, or take a chance on the door (cash only on door).  

Wednesday 7th June 2017 with Jay Phelps  Having performed at the club before it’s a pleasure to invite Trumpeter Jay Phelps back. Born in Canada Jay was the youngest band leader in Vancouver International Jazz Festival. Since then Jay has settled in the UK and has toured many festivals and clubs across the world. Jay has recorded and worked with Courtney Pine, Wynton Marsalis, Ray Brown, John Hendricks, George Benson, Jamie Cullum, Sir John Dankworth, Dennis Rollins, Amy Winehouse, Charlotte Church and many more.   Wednesday 5th July 2017 with Theo Travis   A saxophonist with an international reputation as one of the brightest stars on the contemporary British jazz scene. He is also increasingly regarded as one of the foremost saxophonists and flautists in progressive mu-sic in the world. Described on BBC Radio 2 as "One of the very best young tenor saxophonists of this or any other jazz generation in Britain”, he has appeared on over 110 albums and played at Ronnie Scott’s in London over 75 times. Theo Travis has performed live and recorded in New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Tokyo, Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Coventry Cathedral and Oslo, as well as touring the UK regularly. Wednesday 2nd August 2017 with Frank Griffith  Originally from the USA Frank makes a return visit to the club. An entertaining and smooth performer complete with a showman's manner on the microphone.  Frank has worked with the likes of Lionel Hampton, Buddy Rich, Mel Torme, Mel Lewis and he was the lead alto player in the Glenn Miller Orchestra. Wednesday 6th September 2017 with Josh Kemp    Josh is known for being melodic and inventive with a rich tone on the sax. Wednesday 4th October 2017 with Gareth Lockrane   Multi-award winning Flautist.  Gareth has won MOJO and Parliamentary Jazz awards and was finalist in Vienna Jazz Festival and Young Musician of the Year awards. Wednesday 1st November 2017 with Jimmy Cannon  Vocals and Saxophone. Jimmy has great musicality, fun and swing with excellent scat/improvising chops and good audience rapport. Described by Jack Massarik, Evening Standard as a “stylistic vocalist with in-person delivery” and “All Heart, All Soul, All Music” by the legendary Mark Murphy, Jimmy is also an accomplished saxophonist who has toured and performed with Sir Tom Jones, The Commitments, The Syd Lawrence Orchestra, The Rat Pack, and many more.   Wednesday 29th November (in Place of 1st Wed in December) 2017 with Len Walker - Desert Island Discs  Enjoy some audience participation for the last Wednesday concert of 2017.  In the second half you get to choose what the band play!  For over 30 years Len Walker was the guitarist for the BBC Radio Orchestra. He has worked with Bing Crosby, Peggy Lee and Tony Bennett to name a few.  Joined by Roan Kearsey-Lawson and his rota of famous house musicians including Duncan Lamont Jr on saxes/flute/clarinet who backed Dame Shirley Bassey for 10 years, plus on Piano Ted Beament who was in Humphrey Lyttleton's band and bass player from the Syd Lawrence Orchestra Tom Walker.  Doors Open at 7.15pm for reception and food, main performance on stage at 8.15pm. Purchase tickets Online or Via Phone, or take a chance on the door (cash only on door). 

               Sunday 17th December 2017 with Roan Kearsey-Lawson New York Connections Quartet  Featuring Roan on Vibraphone this quartet is celebrating Christmas with his new album out in 2017/2018 'New York Connections'.  Roan has performed as a featured guest artist on two tours of Norway, he has appeared at clubs and festivals in the UK including London's Ealing Jazz Festival, Coventry #4 Jazz Festival and venues such as Nottingham Royal Concert Halls, Rochester Cathedral. Jazz clubs include CAA London, Octavate London, Grantham Jazz Club, Spice of Life London, Royal Albert Hall, Polsk Jazz London and Scarborough Jazz Clubs.  Roan and his NYC Quartet are featured on BBC Radio on 3rd December Jazz Club with Walter Love (the second time Roan has featured on this programme).  A performer and composer not to be missed.  Roan is joined by John Pearce on piano, Paul Morgan on bass, Rod Brown on drums (and probably more to boot).  Doors Open at 12.45pm, main performance 1.15pm on stage, food served 1.15pm.  Tickets are inclusive of 2 or 3 course Christmas meals.  (No door sales available, pre-book only).  Christmas Tickets & Menu

Wednesday Date TBC 2018 with Pete Long   Widely regarded as one of the worlds foremost clarinettists Pete has performed across the globe. He is currently the musical director for the Ronnie Scotts big band.  Pete has work with Jamie Cullum, Georgie Fame, Jools Holland, Dionne Warwick, Katie Melhua, Will Yong, Joss Stone, Spice Girls and many more.
